Next week in maths we will be looking at the topic of measurement. We will explore this using different concepts, including: length, perimeter and mass.
In topic, we will be continuing to look at the text ‘The Adventures of Odysseus’. We will be planning and writing a letter as if we were a character from the book. We will also use our performance skills to act out some of the main story lines.
We are very much looking forward to performing at Oasis House on Monday 24th June. We have been practising a lot and can’t wait to get on stage!
Next week, we will be writing our own explanation texts. We will also begin looking at our key text – The Adventures of Odysseus, which we are all very excited about!
In maths next week, we will continue looking at shape. We will also be completing our summer assessments.
Health and Well-Being
We have introduced worry boxes into our classrooms to help with the children’s health and well being and to tackle any anxieties (big or small). The idea being that the children write down their worry and put it in the box, if they want to. Therefore the box keeps the worry so that the child can let it go. Then teachers can address the worries in a sensitive and private way.
